For the fourth-straight week, McMurry's Carla Lewis won the Female Runner of the Week and for the third consecutive week, McMurry swept both the male and female awards with Brad Mullens taking the men's weekly honor.

Lewis helped the women's team win the Texas DIII Championships in Seguin. Since the meet, began in 2005, the McMurry hadn't won the meet until Saturday. Lewis broke her own school record for the second-consecutive week in the women's 6K race running a 24:00.00 to take second place overall. McMurry's women had five runners in the top 16 spots to take the victory in the nine-team field.

Mullens was the top finisher among teams representing the American Southwest Conference Saturday at the Texas DIII Championships. In the men's 8K race, Mullens placed third overall with a time of 27:15.60 and the McMurry men finished fourth as a team.
