DELHI, La. - Nick Mehigan and Matt Ragovin each had top five finishes to help McMurry University place second in the eight-team Mississippi College/Louisiana College Spring Invitational Tuesday.

Mehigan shot a 149 (75-74) over two rounds to place second behind Jacob Walsh of UT-Tyler who took the individual crown with a 145 and helped the Patriots to a first-place finish.

Ragovin wasn't far behind his teammate in fourth place shooting a 153 (76-77) to finish nine over-par at the 7,276 yard Black Bear Country Club. Matt Qualls was McMurry's next finisher with a 163 (79-84) which put him in a tie for 14th place in the 47-man field.

David Buchhiet and Tyler Becker rounded out McMurry's finishers with a 25th and 26th place finish. Buccheit shota  169 (83-86) and Becker finished with a 170 (81-89).

McMurry's men's and women's team return to action Monday and Tuesday in a tournament hosted by Texas Lutheran in Concan at the Concan Golf Club.
