ABILENE, Texas – McMurry University sports information director Kyle Robarts has resigned his position to move within the university as the associate director of university relations for marketing services effective Nov. 3.

Robarts was in his second stint as McMurry's sports information director after working in the position from January 2006 to June of 2008 and returning in July of 2009.

“I had a wonderful experience working in McMurry's athletic department over the last few years,” said Robarts. “I especially enjoyed the relationships I built with student-athletes at McMurry and the staff that guided them. I intend to attack my new position with the same energy and ambition to enhance and progress the image of the university as a whole.”

Robarts will continue as the primary media contact for the War Hawks' football team through the end of the 2011 season, but his day-to-day work with the athletics department ends Nov. 3.
