AUSTIN, Texas – McMurry University's women's tennis team ran into a buzz saw on Saturday, falling 9-0 at St. Edward's University.
The loss dropped the War Hawks to 4-7 on the year, overall.
The Hilltoppers dominated the match from the outset, sweeping through all three doubles competitions and winning five of the six singles bouts in straight sets.
Sophomore
Dana LeMieux, playing at the No. 3 singles position, was the only McMurry player to take her match versus SEU's Florence Boinon the distance. After losing set 1, 7-6, LeMieux took set 2 by a 6-4 score. In the tie-breaking third set, Boinon won 10-4.
