McMurry University's first-year men's head basketball coach Zach Pickelman has announced the hiring of Rob Yeatts as his assistant coach. The hiring of Yeatts is a reunion of sorts, as he and Pickelman were college teammates.
 
Yeatts was a four-year player at Hardin-Simmons University, helping the Cowboys to the ASC tournament twice (including the school's first-ever bid in 2005). He played alongside Pickelman for two seasons, as well. Yeatts was an honorable mention all-ASC selection in 2008.
 
Yeatts worked for Pearland Basketball Camps from 2005-13. He also worked as a personal trainer for basketball players in Abilene from 2009-13, as well.
 
Yeatts is married to the former Jessica Vincent. The couple has three children: Javen, Kyleigh and Arianna.
